Enchanted Forest
☞ Friday & Saturday, October 17 & 18, 2025 ☜
The Enchanted Forest in Hubbard Park, Montpelier, is a guided walk from the New Shelter to the Tower and back again. Along with the jack-o-lantern-lit trail, visitors will find the forest filled with art, music, song, and magic. At the Tower visitors will spread out on the hillside to watch a performance and then return along the path to the New Shelter. This path is uneven and it will be dark, so please be prepared. This will take about one hour. Costumes are encouraged! You may bring flashlights but please don't use them during the tour. Please leave your dogs at home.
Thank you for a magical Enchanted Forest in 2024!
Tickets sold out in 24 hours. If you'd like to be updated when Enchanted Forest 2025 tickets go on sale, please join our newsletter (at the bottom of the page).

Call to Artists, Performers, Guides, and Volunteers!
We are looking for ARTISTS who want to be a part of decorating the woods, playing music, offering an interesting scene (living and natural sculptures, singing, magical beings sitting by a fire, trolls, fairy houses etc.).
We are looking for enchanted guides to lead groups through the event and volunteers to help set up and take down.
The park is decorated with art, music, performance and song. These are non-interactive pieces, they are meant to be seen/experienced as people are slowly walking by. Art installations can be made of natural and man-made materials. This event is both in the daylight and night, so installations that are illuminated by LED lights are encouraged. The theme of the event is magic and mystery of nature. We are not seeking any Halloween, frightening art, but magical, and aesthetically beautiful pieces. This is not a place for precious art, as it will be outside for several days in the weather and we cannot guarantee the safety of the work. However, it will be seen by nearly 1,000 people and we can acknowledge your contribution publicly.
To send inquiries, ideas, or to volunteer, please contact us here.
